I did it…I finally did it. A lovely Ashford Traditional spinning wheel will be at my door just four days from now. I’m so excited, and a little apprehensive since I’ve never spun on a real wheel. We shall see, and I’m looking forward to making it totally mine with individual touches. I ordered the plain unfinished double tension style, so that I can do my own finish. I wonder what my wheel’s name is…

I am completely in love with my wheel, Belle, to the neglect of my blog, lol. I love it, I love it!

I remember the excitement when I purchased my wheel. I have a double-treddle Lendrum that I purchased on Craig's List for $300. It is in perfect condition and sells for over $600 brand new. I sure was lucky. I had hoped for an Ashford but I'm happy with what I have.

Lendrums are so beautiful! I am so new to wheels that I followed the trail to the traddy, but I was lucky and I love it.
Deep in my heart, I lust for a Columbine that I can drag around outdoors without worrying about the outdoor effect on my wheel.
